Russia Tensions Threaten Food Supplies for 4 Million Syrians

REYHANLI, Turkey—The continued delivery of food to more than four million desperate Syrians turns this week on a debate in the United Nations Security Council, where the Ukraine crisis has inflamed Western nations’ already strained relations with Russia.

At issue is the U.N’s use of the Bab al-Hawa border crossing from Turkey, through which the organization has funneled food, water and medicine to areas outside the control of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
